Tandarust Punjab Mission-PPCB,Bathinda Police issue Challan
Bathinda-Reiterating its promise of giving healthy atmosphere to the people of Punjab under Tandarust Punjab campaign, the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) and Bathinda police today put up checking points (nakas) at 36 places in the district and issued challans to the traffic violators.
Environment Engineer Paramjeet Singh said that eight bullet motorcycles were issued challans for making cracking noise (patakhe), 40 violators were challaned for using pressure horns, seven were challaned for emitting pollution and 245 were issued challans for not having pollution certificates. He added that the main motive of this campaign is to provide an atmosphere to people of Punjab with clean air and atmosphere. In the forthcoming days this practice will continue.
The police held nakas in Bathinda at Santpura Road, Patiala railway crossing, Balmik Chowk, fish market chowk, Bhai Kanhaiya Chowk, Bibiwala Chowk, Multania Road near DD Mittal Towers and Badal Road T point. Similarly, nakas were also put up at Sadar Rampura Gill Kalan Road, Sadar Rampura Aklia Road, city Rampura Maur Chowk, Kesar Singh Wala turn Dyalpura, bus stand Dyalpura, Alike, bridge near Bhagta Road Nathana, near Gurudwara Laverisar Sahib, Hi tech Goniana, killi T point Nehianwali, Jassi Bagh Wali, near bridge Nandgarh, main road Bathinda-Mansa link road Bhunder, Hi tech Muktsar Kenchiyan, bus stand Balluana, hi tech Kotshamir, Khanda Chowk Talwandi Sabo, near Dasmesh School Talwandi Sabo, Singo, bus stand Raman, Gandhi Chowk Raman, Narang Chowk Raman, bus stand Dhaddha Balianwali, Ramnagar Kenchiyan Maur, bus stand Bathinda, Liberty Chowk and Hanuman Chowk Bathinda.
