Bathinda: Baba Farid Group of Institutions has always played a leading role in the field of education and have been continued all the efforts to provide quality education and better employment opportunities to the students of the area. Due to need of time and demand by students, Baba Farid College has started 6 new courses of better employment prospects such as B.Sc. (Honors) Physics, B.Sc. (Honors) Chemistry, B.Sc (Honors) Mathematics, M.Sc. Agriculture (Agronomy), M.Sc. (Botany) and M.Sc. (Zoology)  from this academic session which are affiliated with Punjabi University, Patiala. With the introduction of these courses in Bathinda, students of the entire area and their parents are being very happy because 10+2 pass science students,  who want to get adsmission in  B.Sc.( honors) of above said Science & Maths subjects  and Science Graduate Students,who wanting to make their future bright in the field of agriculture Science  by getting admission in M.Sc. Agriculture (Agronomy), M.Sc. (Botany) and M.Sc. (Zoology), they had to move far and wide  to get admission in such speciality courses but now admission in these courses from this academic session at Baba Farid College has started. It is to be mentioned here that due to the introduction of these courses, Baba Farid College has become the first such college in the area where B.Sc. (Honors) is being done in subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biotech and Agriculture.

Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman, Baba Farid Group of Institutions while expressed his happiness at the commencement of these courses said that every year students of science and agriculture of BFC are getting university merit positions and these students have been placed by renowned companies at good packages. He said that the institution is committed to make the students eligible for employment and our aim is 100 percent placement of students, for which efforts are being made to start proficient courses more.
