NAAC Advisor addressed the faculty of Guru Nanak Dev University

Dr. Rama K, Advisor, National Assessment and Accreditation Council NAAC today addressed the faculty of the Guru Nanak Dev University main Campus and Regional Centres on the different aspects to the Self Study Report (SSR). She stressed that curriculum improvement and enrichment, research, placement and social responsibility are the key concerns of the higher education institutions in nation building.
This special programme was organized for the faculty of the University in preparation for the next cycle of NAAC accreditation organized a Self Study Report (SSR) sensitization session here today under the mentorship of Prof. (Dr) Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor of the University.
Dr. Rama also said that maintaining high standards to reflect the internal performance of the institution, good performance of the faculty reflected through the performance of alumni, and social accreditation help the institute in gaining high ranking and status in academic endeavours across the globe. The focus of content development, improvised teaching methods, and student satisfaction enable the higher education institutions to gain higher ratings.
Dr. Hardeep Singh, Dean Academic Affairs expressed his gratitude to her for accepting the invitation of the University to sensitize the faculty and the staff about various aspects to be given due care while filing information for SSR. Prof.Sarabjot Singh Behl, OSD (VC) proposed the vote of thanks to Dr. Rama for sparing her valuable time for the University and requested her to keep guiding the faculty and IQAC on different criteria in the times to come. Earlier, while welcoming Dr. Rama, Dr. Ashwani Luthra, Director IQAC, described the achievements of the University and IQAC to thefaculty and the speaker of the day.
The faculty of the University expressed their deep concern and indebtedness to Dr. Rama for enlightening them with the new insights into the NAAC accreditation system and its future academic endeavours.
