Patiala student Harsehajveer Singh brought laurels; won pan India photography contest

Harsehajveer Singh, a student of Guru Nanak Foundation Public school, Patiala has brought laurels to the city.
Harsehajveer Singh participated in “The Shutterscope 2021” photography contest that was organized by Pearl Academy School of contemporary media, nationwide. The competition was only for 12th class students and topic was:- My Festive Spirit. The results were out on 13th November, 2021. He stood third amongst innumerable entries.
Pearl Academy is India’s leading institute in Design, Fashion, Business, and Media and has been a catalyst for the success of the students across creative industries for 28 years. The institution offers over 40 uniquely designed courses through campuses in Delhi-West, Delhi-South, Mumbai, Jaipur & Bengaluru.
The result of the contest was declared in an online meeting. The first prize was won by a girl student from Jammu. Bhopal student won the second prize.
Harsehajveer Singh took the first shot of a child lighting candles on the eve of Deepawali and Bandi chor diwas at Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib, Patiala. The second shot was taken at a potter’s house, as the art of making diyas as well as pots is vanishing speedily.
Harsehajveer Singh said, “to spread the awareness about this diminishing art, l took this shot. I am proud that l brought glory to my school, my city as it was highlighted during the result ceremony.”
