Yesterday Punjab government had appointed Gagandeep Singh Jalalpur son of Ghanaur MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur as the director administration Punjab state power corporation limited by removing former chief minister loyalist RP Pandove and Karanvir Singh Dhillon grandson of former congress MLA from Samrala Amrik Singh Dhillon as director administration Punjab state transmission limited by removing Sanjeev Kumar Sharma CA.
Rajendra Pratap Pandove has joined the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) as director administration in April 2017. He remained associated with PSEB/PSPCL management for long time and had handled crucial administrative issues from time to time. He had retired as general manager administration from PSPCL and joined as director administration after Capt Amarinder Singh came into power in 2017.
Pandove is one the key functionary of Punjab state power corporation limited top management, who acted as a bridge between the all the unions, associations and the management, government. He knew all the points, steps taken by the management. With the untimely removal of Pandove, it may derail the talk that is going on between the various unions, associations and the management, as he is the chairman, member of various committees. In many committees Rajendra Pratap Pandove is associated “by name” not by designation.
With the code of conduct is just around three weeks away, speculations are rife that with the appointment of Gagandeep Singh Jalalpur as the new director administration of Punjab state power corporation limited may delay the talk, timely decision to be taken by the government, as he don’t know the history of the previous meetings, details, talks that were going on between the unions, associations and the management.
