TSPL donates winter clothes to the underprivileged

Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), largest thermal power plant in Punjab has supported over hundreds of underprivileged families and individuals with winter clothes and blankets to beat the chill.

This winter, TSPL CSR team launched a ‘Spread the Warmth’ campaign encouraging employees to donate or contribute their woolens and winter accessories for extending support to the underprivileged. Campaign received an overwhelming response from TSPL and its business partner employees contributing generously for the cause. The month-long campaign culminated in collection of woolens and blankets for more than hundreds of families. Volunteers from TSPL visited ‘Leprosy Ashram’ in Mansa and several nomads staying in the TSPL plant vicinity to support them with the winter requisites.

Expressing his gratitude to all volunteers, Vikas Sharma, CEO and WTD, TSPL said, “We stay committed to our mission to give back to the community and society at large. I am overwhelmed with the zeal of our employees going beyond boundaries supporting the those in need, championing Vedanta’s DNA of care and respect for all. We firmly believe in all-inclusive growth which is possible only with the holistic development of social ecosystem in the vicinity.”

Praising the thoughtfulness and noble efforts of TSPL, Baidnath a representative of Leprosy Ashram, Mansa said, “I am extremely thankful to TSPL and its Business partner volunteers for their compassion and support. This initiative will go a long way in comforting many lives this winter. We look forward to your continued support to our ashram in future as well.”
