“Giving is not just about making a donation. It’s about making a difference” Kathy Calvin
The Department of Anatomy, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bathinda, officially started the Body Donation Program “Dehdaan Mahadaan” on 17.2.2022 inaugurated by Director Professor DK Singh in the presence of Prof Anil Goel, MS and senior faculty members of the institute. On this occasion, two voluntary donors pledged for their body donation to this institute.
The Department has already received and preserved two bodies by donation in last three days. The donated bodies will be used in medical education and research by the institute. It is only through the generous gift of the Body Donors that health professionals are able to advance their knowledge of medicine to highest degree and skills.
It is an appeal to public to come forward for this noble gesture and pledge for the body donation to serve even after death.
For more details regarding the program, a webpage named “Dehdan Mahadaan” has been launched at the institute’s website (https://aiimsbathinda.edu.in/dehdan.aspx).
