On March 15.2022 Punjab’s principal secretary (homes) office has issued an order to all the divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners, IGPs, CPs, DIGs, SSPs about the decision of the state government to remove the Covid -19 restrictions in the state.
Confusion is created in the official circles as the letter is marked to the PS to Dy CM (Principal Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister) of Punjab.
At present there is only a designated chief minister who is going to take chief ministers oath, today at Khatkar Kalan and no deputy chief minister or even designated chief minister in the state. Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit on March 11 had already dissolved the 15th Vidhan Sabha, a day after results for the Assembly polls were announced.
This order has created curiosity in the Punjab government official’s circle that is it a clerical mistake or is aam admi party government going to appoint any deputy chief minister. If yes, who?
“If it’s a clerical mistake than it’s a major blunder in the office of Home department” said Mahesh Kumar a Punjab government employee.
