Orthopaedics dept of GMC Patiala conducted “First Orthopaedics PG teaching Course”

First Orthopaedics Post Graduate Teaching Course at Government Medical College and Rajindra Hospital, Patiala was organized by Dept of Orthopaedics under the aegis of Indian Orthopaedics Association and Punjab Orthopaedics Association on 9th and 10th April 2022.

It was attended by more than 100 post graduate students of various medical colleges from all over the region.

Giving information about the event, the course chairman, Dr Hari Om Aggarwal, Prof and Head, Department of Orthopaedics, Government Medical College, Patiala told that the course was inaugurated by Dr Avnish Kumar, Director, Research and Medical Education, Punjab. Also present on the occasion were Dr Harjinder Singh, Director-Principal, Dr RPS Sibia, Vice Principal, Dr Harnam S Rekhi, Medical Superintendent along with various heads of departments of Government Medical College Patiala. Dr Girish Sahni, Co chairman and Professor of Orthopaedics told that this PG Course is an excellent opportunity for the PG students to sharpen the skills and learn from the masters of their field for their MS final practical examination.

Orthopaedics dept of GMC Patiala conducted “First Orthopaedics PG teaching Course”. Dr Nitish Bansal, Organizing Secretary told that most experienced and talented visiting faculty present were senior professors including Dr SS Sangwan (PGI Rohtak), Dr VK Gautam and Dr Lalit Maini (MAMC New Delhi), Dr Sudhir Garg, Dr PN Gupta & Dr Rohit Jindal from Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, Dr Sarvdeep S Dhatt and Dr Sidharth Sharma from PGI, Dr Ravi Gupta and Dr Sandeep Gupta from Fortis Mohali. Dr Rajesh Gupta, member of Indian Orthopaedics Association Post Graduate teaching committee was also present to grace this academic activity. The delegates found it to be very useful academic course.
