Overwhelming response to second Jan Suwidha camps in Patiala district; over 10K residents participated

The second Jan Suwidha camps held in Patiala district on Saturday, received overwhelmed response with participation of over 10,000 people in these camps, which were organised on the directions of Punjab government and under the supervision of MLAs of the district. The Patiala administration has provided administrative services to the people on the spot at their doorsteps during the Camp.
The MLAs handed over certificates of government services including pensions to the beneficiaries in the camps. While inspecting the camp at Government Elementary School at village Ablowal, Patiala MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli said that the main motive of such camps in bringing services of government to the doorstep of people. Patiala Rural MLA Dr. Balbir Singh at Government Senior Secondary Tripuri said that these camps have made the people realize that the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann is working diligently for welfare of Punjab and its people.
Other MLAs including Chetan Singh Jouramajra, Neena Mittal, Gurdev Singh Dev Mann, Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, Kulwant Singh Bazigar and Gurlal Ghanour have lauded the efforts of administration for organizing these Suwidha camps at door step of people for delivering administrative services to the people near their homes instead of government offices.
Divulging the details, Patiala Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney said that under the unique initiative of ‘Tuhadi Sarkar-Tuhade Duaar’ launched by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the district administration has organized Suwidha camps for the second time with the assistance of all the MLAs of the district.
She informed that more than 10,000 people attended the camps today, out of which 4,673 submitted their applications. About 2009 application have been scrutinized on the spot.
Of this, 1912 were found eligible and 510 were awarded certificates of various services on the spot while other applications are being examined by the officials, she added.
Sawhney further informed, camps were organised under the supervision of SDMs of all the sub divisions including Dr. Ismat Vijay Singh, Charanjit Singh, Himanshu Gupta and Kannu Garg and the district administration has provided various services like pensions, Aadhaar Card, Health Insurance Card, Nirman Kirti Card, Municipal Corporation and Tehsil level works.
Apart from this, Covid-19 vaccine were also administered in these camps.
