Punjab police got shot in the arm in Sidhu Moosewala case

Punjab police on Tuesday demanded arrest and transit remand of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for questioning him in Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder case. The court allowed a transit remand of Lawrance Bishnoi  to Punjab police. He will be taken to Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) hospital, New Delhi for medical checkup.  Than the Punjab police will bring Lawrance Bishnoi to Punjab.

Following the strenuous efforts made by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to put Sidhu Moosewala’s killers behind the bars, the Punjab Police on Tuesday got the transit remand of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi from the Patiala House Court in Delhi.

Today the Punjab police forwarded two applications in the Patiala House Court at New Delhi –arrest of Lawrance Bishnoi by Punjab police and seek transit remand of Lawrance Bishnoi in in Sidhu Moosewala case.  The Mansa police has already got the arrest warrant from the Mansa court, which they forwarded to the Patiala House Court.

Patiala house court granted the transit remand of 24 hours to Punjab police. Now the Punjab police will present Lawrance Bishnoi in the Mansa court and seek his police remand to solve Sidhu Moosewala murder case.

The Advocate General of Punjab in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case has filed an application in a Delhi court seeking transit remand of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for questioning, as he claims on his social media platform that he had taken the revenge of killing Vicky Middukhera.  He himself has said that he had conspired with Goldie Brar to get him killed.

Vishal Chopra, appearing for Lawrence Bishnoi, opposed the Punjab police application of transit remand and submitted that there is a security threat to his client Lawrance Bishnoi. He argued that if the court allows Punjab police than he must be taken in full proof security.

Earlier, Delhi Police has said in the court that “we have not come to know anything special in this case”. The Punjab Police has also demanded Bishnoi’s remand in the court. Punjab Police Advocate General filed an application for transit remand of Lawrence Bishnoi, in the Sidhu Moosewala’s murder.

Pertinently, the Punjab Police had already arrested nine persons for providing logistic support, conducting recce, and harboring the shooters of Sidhu Moosewala.

Those arrested have been identified as Charanjit Singh alias Chetan of Ballram Nagar in Bathinda; Sandeep Singh alias Kekda of Sirsa, Haryana; Manpreet Singh alias Manna of Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda; Manpreet Bhau of Dhaipai, Faridkot; Saraj Mintu of village Dode Kalsia, Amritsar; Prabhdeep Sidhu alias Pabbi of Takhat-Mall, Haryana; Monu Dagar of village Rewli in Sonipat, Haryana; Pawan Bishnoi and Naseeb, both residents of Fatehabad, Haryana.

ADGP Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Promod Ban said that the Special Investigation Team headed by IGP PAP Jaskaran Singh is making steady progress in the investigation and connecting the dots by working on the leads gathered so far through interrogation of the suspects already arrested and through other inputs.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led-Punjab Government has not been leaving any stone unturned to extradite Gangster Goldy Brar, who was the first to take responsibility of the murder in this case.
