International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking observed

“International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” dedicated to the 75th Amrit Mahautsav of Independence, an awareness programme was organised at the local Government Nursing Institute under the  leadership of deputy  commissioner  Preeti Yadav .

On the occasion the Deputy Commissioner released an anti-drug awareness song sung by the famous singer Durga Rangeela ..

The Deputy Commissioner said that it was the duty of all of us to make our society aware of the deadly effects of drugs in time so that a healthy and developing country could be built.

Addressing the gathering civil surgeon Dr Parminder Kumar said that the needs of the next generation of youth and children should be taken care of  on priority basis and from time to time they should be made aware against the use of drugs and illicit drug  trade..

Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Baldev Singh Supreet Kaur from District Employment Bureau, psychiatrist Dr. Nitin Sethi and Principal  Dildeep Kaur also shared their views.

On this occasion Nursing students participated  essay writing, chart making and painting competitions The winning students were honoured by the deputy commissioner .
