Punjabi University Patiala sets new records in Placements: 65 top companies conducted placement drive

Punjabi University Patiala’s recruitment season for the year 2021-22 concluded remarkably with 65 top-notch Multinational companies visiting the campus for the placement drives.The university has succeeded in hitting the high note by getting record placements done for B.Tech and M.B.A students.Applauding the efforts made by the placement cell of the university, Prof. Arvind, The Vice-Chancellor of Punjabi University, Patiala congratulated the entire team led by Prof. Manjit Singh and gave blessings to the students for their upcoming journey.He said that it is gratifying to note that against the heavy odds of COVID pandemic, the university has succeeded in securing record placements for the students.
Sharing his views about the evolving industry-academia equations in the current scenario, Prof. Manjit, Director, Placement Cell, informed about the painstaking efforts that are being made to equip the students with the offbeat solutions and approaches to address the upcoming challenges at the higher levels. He further shared that the multiple placement drives that have been organized last year to make sure the students get enough opportunities to showcase their skills and knowledge to the companies of national and International repute.
Leading firms likeKPMG, Infosys, TCS, NEWGEN, Naggaro, India Mart Mash Pvt. Ltd., Wipro, Bebo Technology, Testing Expert, Digital Trust and Analytics, Emerson, Net Solutions, Bluebash Consulting Pvt. Ltd.etc have made offers for varied profiles like System Analyst, Systems Engineer, Product Engineer, Analog/Digital Engineer, Software developer, Engineer Trainee, etc. It is worth mentioning here that KPMG, one of world’s four best multinational firms has shown interest in the students of the university by selecting 10 students with an annual package ranging from Rs 5.8 lakh to Rs 6.3 lakh. Actively becoming a part of the drive, Xenostack,has chosen 10 students with an annual package of Rs 6.5 lakh. Two students with a promising package of annual package of Rs 6.40 lakh have been selected by Planet Spark. Many other students got the opportunity to prove their mettle in other companies with an annual package of over Rs 5 lakh include Bugs Mirror, Ritwik Software, Impetus Tech, etc.
