2013 batch IPS, Bhagirath Singh Meena Assumes Charge as SSP SBS Nagar

2013 batch IPS Officer, Bhagirath Singh Meena assumed as new SSP of district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, late this evening.
He has replaced Dr Sandeep Kumar Sharma. Meena earlier worked as Joint CP Ludhiana, SSP Ferozepur and Barnala districts. Recently, he had been working as Commadent 1st IRB Patiala before getting transferred to SBS Nagar.
Listing his agenda, he said that his priority would be to maintain law and order , to curb the menace of drug mafia and gangsters by sending them to jail following strict legal action against them.
He assured his easy accessibility for the general public as well as seeking public cooperation in maintaing law and order and thwarting the nefarious designs of unscrupulous elements involved in various anti social activities including drugs.
Earlier, he was presented guard of honour on arriving at the district police office at District Administrative Complex, Nawanshahr. He was given warm welcome by SP (H) Gurmeet Kaur, SP (Investigation) Dr. Mukesh Sharma, DSPs Harshpreet Singh, Devdutt Sharma, Lakhvir Singh, Sehbaj Singh, Surinder Chand, Amarnath, Ranjit Singh and Sarwan Singh Ball.
