Need to preserve heritage-Preeti Yadav

Heritage preservation is the prime need of the hour, said Rupnagar Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav while participating as the chief guest in the cultural programme of Teej festival organized by the district administration and Red Cross society at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Bagh Rupnagar under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Dr. Yadav said that there is no difference between daughters and sons and the various initiatives taken by the government like Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao programs have proved to be very meaningful and today daughters are not only equal to sons in every field but have gone ahead.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner honoured the children with disabilities. Along with this, the new members of the Red Cross were also honoured. On this occasion, various cultural performances were presented by school girls and government college students of Rupnagar and Avinder Raju’s Kranti Kala Manch also presented a play against social evils called “Dum Torde Rishte”. On this occasion, there were various stalls were set up .
Need to preserve heritage-Preeti Yadav. Sankalp Society Rupnagar, Nehru Yuva Kendra and Mega Star Foods made a special contribution in this programme.
Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Harjot Kaur, SDMJasveer Singh, PCS officer Harjot Kaur, Vikas Goyal, Pankaj Yadav, Coordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra,
and former youth coordinator Sukhdarshan Singh, Iqbal Singh from DAV School and officials of various departments and dignitaries were present.
