Saksham Edutech and Management Technology to provide special training to the food vendors of the Rupnagar

On behalf of Saksham Edutech and Management Technology, every shopkeeper working in food and beverage related work in Rupnagar district will be trained according to food safety norms. This information was given by Sanjay Kumar, Chairman of Saksham Edutech and Management Technology.

He said that under the Food Safety Act 2006 enacted by the Central Government, Saksham Edutech and Management Technology has been made a training partner in the whole of India. Under this, joint food Commissioner Punjab and Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar have given responsibility to their organization to provide basic, advanced/special training and carry awareness program me in Rupnagar district.

He said that under this programme all the small and big businessmen of Rupnagar district who are doing food and beverage business will be provided awareness and training in the entire district and all such businessmen and vendors will be given training certificate which will last lifetime.

He said that apart from basic training, the organisation has started training programmes for advanced courses across Punjab and India. The aim of which is to improve the quality of food and drink items served to the people. He said that this training is necessary so that the food vendors are made aware of all kinds of items related to this industry and the food and drinks served by them.

Saksham Edutech and Management Technology to provide special training to the food vendors of the Rupnagar. Sanjay Kumar said that his organization will provide both online and offline training to people associated with the food industry. If there is offline training, there will be a batch of 40 shopkeepers, who will be trained by special trainers of the Food Safety Department. Apart from this, if a shopkeeper chooses the online training option, a batch of 100 shopkeepers will be trained.

He said that after imparting training, he will also be provided with a certificate by the Food Safety Department so that in future if they have to get any license or permission in any kind of food industry then those certificates will be useful for that.

Above 25 employees must have a supervisor. And besides, training is mandatory for whoever is doing their job,he said.

Sanjay Kumar said that it is necessary to have a food safety supervisor in any restaurant or food industry where there are at least 25 employees. He said that the safety supervisor will be given training by his company and will be told everything about how and how to work. He said that at present government fee will be collected from street vendors in Rupnagar as per the guidelines of the state government.

Sanjay Kumar said that three types of training will be given to businessmen associated with the food industry in Rupnagar district. This will include basic, advanced and specialized training. He said street vendors would be given basic training and retailers and distributors would be given advanced training while specialized training would cover dairy products, meat products and oils and bakery.
