Mata Sahib Kaur College organised contest under SVEEP project

N.S.S. Unit & Red Ribbon Club of Mata Sahib Kaur Khalsa Girls College of Education, Dhamo Majra Patiala organized a Slogan Writing & Poster Making competitions under the SVEEP (Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation) Project, launched by Election Commission of India to inform, educate, motivate and facilitate voters and in turn make Indian democracy more participative and meaningful
All the students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm in these competitions. On this occasion, College Principal, Dr. Harmeet Kaur Anand said that India is the largest democracy of the world and for the successful working of this democracy, awareness about votes & voting behaviour is must.
She further added that it is the responsibility of the would be teachers to spread awareness about votes. She also said that we should use our vote very wisely without any influence so that we can elect good candidates to govern our self. She also appealed to the students that they must propagate and help the government in making Voter Identity Cards for all individuals whose age is 18 years.
