Today, news website royalpatiala.in highlighted the ill doings being done by the state procurement agency employees at a godown on Ludhiana road, Malerkotla.
Immediately after the publication of news on News portal royalpatiala.in , Pungrain managing director Ghanshaym Thori, IAS marked the inquiries to the joint director Ajayvir Singh Sarao who is the chairman vigilance committee (CVC) of the Pungrain and another independent enquiry to the district food and supplies controller (DFSC), Malerkotla and asked them to send the enquiry report in a time frame manner.
Earlier, today, a resident of Malerkotla captured a video of a person sprinkling the water on wheat bags to increase the weight and uploaded the same on social media.
As per the video, a person might be a security guard was seen sprinkling on the bags at a godown on Ludhiana road, Malerkotla.
As per available information, the said godown is of Pungrain and the stored wheat in bags is meant for public distribution.
As per government orders, every beneficiary gets 30 kg wheat, four times in a year under the public distribution system (PDS).
As per available information, the person sprinkling water on wheat bags on the order of Pungrain official who is also the incharge of the godown.
