DFSC accused in infamous tender scam reinstated; got new posting orders

Now, two of the accused, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, former food supplies minister and Harveen kaur, DFSC in infamous food supply tender scam has been granted bail.
Last year, the infamous food supply tender scam has rocked the state. The vigilance bureau had arrested the former food supply minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu in Aug 2022 over alleged irregularities in awarding contracts for transporting foodgrains on fake vehicle registration numbers during his tenure as food and civil supplies minister in the previous government.
Later the investigation agency had arrested two district food and civil supplies controllers (DFSCs) Sukhwinder Singh Gill, then DFSC Ludhiana West and Harveen Kaur, then DFSC Ludhiana East involved in the infamous tender scam in different grain markets in Ludhiana district along with close associates of Bharat Bhushan Ashu in November 2022.At the time of their arrests, Sukhwinder Singh Gill was posted as DFSC Faridkot and Harveen Kaur as DFSC Jalandhar.
The VB had also initiated proceedings in the court against three accused namely RK Singla, deputy director food and civil supplies, Pankaj Kumar alias Menu Malhotra, and Inderjit Singh alias Indi, both PAs of former food and civil supplies minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu to declare them as proclaimed offenders (PO).
The court had declined bail to Bharat Bhushan Ashu since August 2022. But, the Punjab and Haryana high court on Friday granted bail to Bharat Bhushan Ashu, arrested in August 2022.The bail was granted in two FIRs, both registered under Prevention of Corruption Act and various other provisions of Indian Penal code.
Today, the suspended district food and civil supplies controllers (DFSC) Harveen kaur has been reinstated and given a new posting orders. She has been posted as assistant director, head office (ADO).
