Bunge India,Sonipat Kiryana Asso organize Swachata Abhiyan

A massive cleanliness drive and environmental awareness program was organised at Sabzi Mandi Market Area of Sonipat which started from Baba Dham Sidh Peeth Mandir and culminated at Murthal Adda. The initiative was carried out by Kiryana Traders of the Market and was wholeheartedly supported by Bunge India, manufacturers of Gagan Refined Oils and Gagan Vanaspati Ghee.
The cleanliness drive under the banner, ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan’ began at 8:30 am, as enthusiastic group members hand-picked waste, bottles, plastic, pieces of broken glass etc to clear the area.
The group included Founder of Baba Dham Sidh Peeth Mandir, Rakesh Kuchhal , Bunge India’s Area Sales Manager Vaneet Vasan & his team members, Sujesh Gupta, Sanjay Gupta & Sunil Gupta representatives from M/s Mangat Rai Bishan Swarup Distributors for Bunge India here at Sonipat, Senior functionaries & members of the of the Market Association.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Prashant Mohan, Marketing Head, Bunge India said that even though the government has started Swacch Bharat campaign earlier, but today the people of the country themselves are moving forward with an unprecedented gusto. We on behalf of our company have been organizing such initiatives under our CSR program and Grain Market / Wholesale Market areas have already been covered at places like Karnal, Hissar, Panipat, Yamunanagar, Ambala City & Ambala Cantt, Chandigarh, Patiala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar & Rajpura.
Upendra Ojha General Manager Bunge India said that, “in future too Bunge India will continue to associate with various market associations in the cities to do similar activities. He added that the Clean India campaign is inspired by our patriotism & everyone should ensure to participate, if each of us in our own conduct, include hygiene, then only a city, but also the district, state, country will be easy to clean.
Members of the association took the pledge to keep Market area clean and green. More than 30 carts of garbage were disposed off. A Panel Discussion on Environment and Swachhata March / Rally and a plethora of co-curricular activities were organized to mark the occasion.
