Punjab’s senior leader passes away

Bir Devinder Singh, former deputy speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha died.
As per initial reports, he was undergoing a treatment for cancer. During a medical procedure, his heart collapsed and died at PGI, Chandigarh.
Bir Devinder Singh represented the Kharar assembly constituency from 2002 to 2007.He also represented Sirhind Constituency from 1980 to 1985.He was declared the best parliamentarian for the Legislative Assembly term from 2002 to 2007
He remained the deputy speaker from 2003 -2004 in Capt Amarinder Singh chief ministership.
He is survived by three daughters and one son . The cremation will be held at Badunagr Cremation Ground, Patiala on coming Monday.
