NL Sharma joins as Chairman, BBMB

Nand Lal Sharma holding the charge of Chairman & Managing Director of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited SJVNL has joined as officiating Chairman, Bhakhra Beas Management Board BBMB, today on July 1,2023. He is also the chairman of SJVN Arun-3 Power Development Company, Nepal, SJVN Thermal Private Limited, Bihar & SJVN Green Energy Limited.
Ministry of Power had given the additional charge of Chairman, Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) to Nand Lal Sharma, CMD, “Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited” (SJVNL) from July 1,2023 for a period of three months or till appointment of regular chairman.
Nand Lal Sharma holds MBA & M Sc. Degrees. He has done MBA from International Centre for Promotion of Public Enterprises(ICPE), University of Lubliana, Slovenia(Europe). He is also an alumni of Dr. Y.S Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry Nauni, Solan, H.P.
Nand Lal Sharma started his career as an officer with the coveted Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services in 1989. During his tenure in HP Administrative Services, he held various key posts namely Assistant Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Special Secretary(GAD), Director Ayurveda, Special Secretary(Health) and Secretary, HP State Electricity Board.
He took over as Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN in December 2017. His contributions in SJVN are remarkable. His vision has led to the success of SJVN. His 33 years of experience will be best utilised in the growth of BBMB also.
NL Sharma joins as Chairman, BBMB. Sharma conducted first board meeting with all senior officers of BBMB on the very first day to review the progress of works and latest issues. His leadership, vigour and passion will empower BBMB more.
