Pollution Check-DC asked officials to take action against violators

“Daily pollution is a matter of serious concern for all of us and we should all try together to get rid of pollution so that our next generation can be given a clean environment,” said Shivdular Singh Dhillon , Deputy Commissioner Fatehgarh sahib, while presiding over a meeting of district level committee for reviewing the measures being taken by different departments to clear pollution of Mandi Gobindgarh at District Administrative Complex.
He also directed the Executive Officer of Mandi Gobindgarh Municipal Council to immediately take action against canopy less generator operators at Mandi Gobindgarh, to prevent pollution caused by running generator without deletion. These generators make noise pollution when in operation. He also asked the officer to initiate the process of transferring the industries running in the residential area into open spaces so that the city’s environment could be pollution free.
Dhillon ordered the officers of the Punjab Pollution Control Board and the Executive Officer of Municipal council Mandigobindgarh to ensure continuous checking of the hospitals located at Mandi Gobindgarh, for proper disposal of Bio Medical Waste.
Deputy Commissioner said that about 44 thousand saplings have been distributed in the district of under mission “Ghar Ghar Hariyali” so that the environment of Fatehgarh Sahib district can be clean and green.Besides this, 1700 saplings were planted at Mandi Gobindgarh by the District Industry Center so that the pollution caused by the industry could be purified.
