PSPCL CMD Er. Baldev Singh Sran awarded with coveted Eminent Engineers Award 2023

National body of Engineers, “The Institution of Engineers India”  (IEI)  Electrical Engineering Division Board (ELDB) has conferred the coveted Eminent Engineers Award 2023 to Er. Baldev Singh Sran, Chairman-cum-Managing Director  Punjab State Power Corporation Limited  during the 38th National Convention of the Electrical Engineers organized at Shimla on Dec.16,2023.

The Institution of Engineers India acknowledged the important role played by Er. Baldev Singh Sran and his significant contribution & outstanding services in the power sector of Punjab.

During the felicitation IEI said that award bestowed recognition to his valuable contribution in the field of Electrical Engineering and praised hard working CMD Er. Baldev Singh Sran.

IEI said that his entire career showcased his abilities, intelligence, faith, and character, as he navigated through numerous challenges for the betterment of the power sector and the state.

PSPCL CMD Er. Baldev Singh Sran awarded with coveted Eminent Engineers Award 2023 . Er. Baldev Singh Sran in his speech said that Engineering is not merely a profession or a degree rather it is a way of thinking, he called upon the Engineers to work in their field as a missionary. Deliberating on the theme  of the convention ‘Systematic adoption of Electrical Vehicles’ he stressed that Engineers should work towards enhancing battery technologies, making them more efficient, affordable, and environmentally sustainable. Electrical engineers must lead in designing smart charging solutions that optimize energy consumption and fully integrate with renewable sources so as to achieve the core purpose to stem the environmental degradation.
