The Special Investigation Team (SIT) handling the drugs case against senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia, has summoned him once again at ADGP Patiala office on December 30,2023.

SIT in Majithia drugs case is headed by ADGP, Patiala zone Mukhwinder Singh Chinna, who is retiring on December 31,2023.

Earlier, Majithia was summoned on December 18,2023 and December 27,2023.

In these two summoning, Majithia appeared before the SIT on December 18,2023 and skips December 27,2023 .

On December 18,2023, SIT questioned Majithia for around 7 hours in a drugs case.

Speaking to reporters in Patiala after being questioned, Majithia hit out at Mann, calling him a ‘tanashah’ (dictator) and said he was not afraid of going to jail for raising the voice of people.

The Akali leader had said there is no merit in the case and this is just ‘politicisation’. ‘Only politics is being played,’ he said.

Majithia was again summoned on December 27,2023. But he skips the investigation and as per sources he had requested the SIT not to summon him for questioning during the ‘shaheedi week’, commemorated by Sikhs to mark the supreme sacrifice made by the four sons and the mother of Guru Gobind Singh.
