Piping ceremony: DIG decorates newly promoted lone inspector from Patiala as DSP

Patiala range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Harcharan Singh Bhullar decorated newly promoted inspector Rajesh Kumar as deputy superintendent of police (DSP) at its office in Patiala on Saturday.
On the occasion, the DIG Bhullar congratulated the officer and expressed hope that he will continue to work with the same zeal and dedication for the department and for the people and wished him luck for future assignments.
It is pertinent to mention here that recently the state government has promoted Punjab police inspectors as DSPs.
DSP Rajesh Kumar joined the prestigious force of India, Punjab police as ASI in 1993 at Patiala. He is the lone inspector from Patiala who has been promoted as DSP in the recent promotions.
Before his promotion as DSP, Rajesh Kumar was recently transferred to Sangrur district as Patials is his home district.
