Two-Day International Conference in Mechanical engineering department Punjabi University ends on a positive note

The first international conference in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Punjabi University, Patiala on the theme of sustainability ended on a positive note.
The title of this two-day online conference was “Advances in Mechanical and Sustainable Engineering”. On 2nd day the keynote speakers were Prof. Amrik Singh from SLIET, Longowal and Dr. Gulshan Kumar from BITS Pilani-Dubai Campus.
Prof. Amrik Singh delivered his talk on the topic “Sustainable and Smart Manufacturing An Integrated Approach-Driving Innovation and Sustainability” and Dr. Gulshan Kumar’s topic for the talk was “Role of Residual Stresses in Correlation with Microstructures—Measurements and Analysis”.
Co-convener-cum-coordinator Dr. Chandan Deep Singh introduced both the speakers and thanked end them for their energetic talks. Further the conveners Prof. Khushdeep Goyal and Dr. Harvinder Singh informed that this is a series of conferences which has started and next year i.e. 2025 in March we are planning 2nd International conference on “Advances in Mechanical and Sustainable Engineering”.
Head of the Department Dr. Balraj Saini thanked all the teachers who organized this conference and said that efforts will be made to do such low cost initiatives in future.
Further, Dr. Davinder Singh delivered the valedictory talk and thanked all the participants for their presentations and he wholeheartedly acknowledged and thanked the three keynote speakers of the conference for their lovely gesture of delivering talks without any honorarium.

The co-ordinators of the conference namely, Er. Sukhjinder Singh, Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Dr. Talwinder Singh, Dr. Charanjit Nohra, Dr. Baljinder Ram and Dr. Hemant Kumar worked dedicatedly and with full commitment towards the conference and they managed all the session very well and its all because of this team that this such a big event has been organized smoothly and efficiently.
