A five-day workshop on Electoral Politics in India organised at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University

The Department of Political Science of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University , Fathgarh Sahib organized a five-day workshop on “Electoral Politics in India” dedicated to Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
In this workshop, various aspects related to electoral politics were discussed. On the first day of the workshop, Department in-charge Ramandeep Kaur deliberated on the historical perspective of electoral politics.
On the second day, Dr. Balwinder Kaur analyzed the role of various political parties in electoral politics. On the third day of the workshop, Dr. Satnam Singh (Associate Professor and Head, Department of Political Science) Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar discussed “Challenges and Needed Reforms in Electoral Politics in India”.
On the fourth day of the workshop Dr. Jamshid Ali Khan, Professor, Department of Political Science, India elaborated the Impact of social media on Electroal Politics in India. On the last day of the workshop, Dr. Gurpreet Singh Brar (Assistant Professor) Punjabi University Patiala held a discussion on the subject of “Electoral Management”.
On the successful completion of this workshop, Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Sukhwinder Singh Billing appreciated the efforts of the Department. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Pritpal Singh congratulated the department for promoting constructive thinking and political participation among the students regarding the electoral politics of India.
