All India Inter-University judo championship (Men) 2018-19 at GNDU

On the second day of the All India Inter-University judo championship (Men) 2018-19 organized by Guru Nanak Dev University, the competitions in the category of 66kg, 73kg and 90kg were held. In this Championship as many as 700 players from 120 Universities of the country are participating in the indoor multi-purpose Hall of the University. This Championship will be concluded on December 29 and the winners will be given the trophies and certificates.
In yesterday’s competitions, Inderdeep of GNDU secured the first position in 81kg category whereas Divyanshu of Rajasthan Jaipur University secured second position and Harshal Thite of Bam, Aurangabad secured the third position in this category.
Similarly, in 56 kg category, Shivam Sharma of Guru Nanak Dev University was first, Anuj Yadav from CCS University, Meerut got second and Sumit Kumar of Panjab University remained at the third position.
In the 60 kg category, Shiva of Guru Nanak Dev University was first, Vijay Kumar Yadav of DD University, Gorakhpur stood second and Punit Bhatt of the University of Delhi remained third.
Today, 66 kg, 73 kg and 90 kg category competition were held. It is noteworthy that in these competitions, the Judo players of International fame like Shiva, Vijay Yadav, Pardeep Singh, Ajay Kumar and Inderdeep Singh are also performing.
