Retd. IAS appointed as Principal Secretary to PM Modi

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Dr. P.K. Mishra, lAS (Retired) as Principal Secretary to Prime Minister with effect from 10.06.2024. His appointment will be co-terminus with the term of the Prime Minister or until further orders whichever is earlier.
During the term of his office, he will be assigned the rank of Cabinet Minister in the Table of Precedence.
Pramod Kumar Mishra often abbreviated P. K. Mishra (IAS), is the 13th and current principal secretary to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. He is a 1972 batch Indian Administrative Service officer belonging to Gujarat cadre. During 2001–2004, Mishra has also served as the principal secretary to Narendra Modi, when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat
