Dr Harinder Singh Bedi has joined Shalby Hospital, Mohali as Chief Consultant-Cardio Vascular Endovascular & Thoracic Sciences.
Dr. Bedi area of special interests includes innovations, CABG, beating heart or off-pump CABG, valve repair & replacement, pediatric heart surgery, vascular & endovascular surgery & theoracic surgery, minimally invasive heart, vascular and endovascular surgery, endovascular treatments for varicose veins. 
Limca Book of World Records holder Cardiologist Dr Bedi joins Shalby HospitalDr Bedi has performed over 20,000 open heart procedures resulting on international standards. He has several innovations and world first surgeries including the first series of multivessel beating heart surgery using innovative technique for stabilization and perfusion with angiographic.
He is acknowledged for the use of the radial artery in Feoro-popliteal bypass. He also finds his mention in Limca Book of World Records 2008 Edition for the first minimally invasive heart surgery using a Cath lab in OT.
Dr Bedi has been conferred with numerous awards for his outstanding contribution towards medicines which includes Punjab Govt Civil Award – Param Patra in 2001, Lifetime Achievement Award by Governor, Hayana in 2009, Pride of Punjab by Punjab CM in 2013, Doyen of Healthcare Award by The Tribune Trust by Punjab CM in 2017 and Pioneer in Healthcare by JP Nadda, Health Minister, Govt of India in 2018.
