The 71st Founder’s Day of the Modern Senior Secondary School was celebrated in the school’s sprawling grounds to commemorate its founder Sardar Mohan Singh Ji who not only founded the school in 1948 but also bequeathed resources for its development.

“Sardar Mohan Singhji founded the school with the main objective of imparting value based education to boys and girls in the royal city of Patiala. His vision was to develop and nurture the potential of each student, both academically and otherwise” said School Chairman Jujhar Singh.

The day was celebrated with fervor, zest and enthusiasm by the current as well as the esteemed alumni of the school, who especially came to the school to say their thanks to its founders. The highlight of the event was the trophies like Best Academic performance of the year, Best Athlete of the Year, Character award, Best Class of the year and so on. Overall, it was an event to applaud the overall accolades won for shining in academics, sports, debates and overall achievement of the student during the last academic year. These trophies were given by the Chairman of the school who congratulated the students and encouraged them to work even harder in the years to come. He further added that apart from academics it is utmost important for the students to build empathy for their fellow peers.

The event ended with a vote of thanks by the principal Tripatjit Kaur and a cultural  program  prepared  by the students of the school.
