DC Patiala inspects Sanaur Mandi on the first day of paddy procurement, reviews arrangements

Deputy Commissioner , Patiala Dr. Preeti Yadav, visited the Sanaur mandi this afternoon. During her visit, she reviewed the paddy procurement process and instructed the officials of the procurement agencies to ensure smooth and timely procurement, as Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is personally overseeing the arrangements. She emphasized that no negligence will be tolerated and directed that all paddy arriving in the mandis should be promptly purchased.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner held a meeting with representatives from the Mandi Board, Market Committee amd procurement agencies, reviewing the procurement arrangements. She instructed that the paddy arriving in the mandi should be procured and lifted as quickly as possible.
Dr. Preeti Yadav also directed inspectors from the procurement agencies to ensure that no farmer faces any inconvenience, and that paddy is purchased as soon as it arrives, after ensuring it is dry. She appealed to farmers to bring only dry produce to the mandis.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that the district administration is fully prepared and committed to ensuring that farmers bringing their produce to the mandis face no issues. District Mandi Officer Mandeep Singh, along with officials from various procurement agencies and farmers, were present during the visit.
