Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), Punjab’s largest thermal power plant , is taking a significant step to combat the environmental crisis of stubble burning in the region, particularly in Mansa district. Stubble burning has become a major concern in Punjab, contributing to severe air pollution and impacting public health. The campaign starting from the 2nd week of the October month will last till middle of the month November. This time-period is very crucial in terms of stubble burning.

The campaign will include awareness rallies, workshops, informational sessions, and direct interactions with farmers to promote alternative methods for managing crop residues. TSPL aims to empower the farming community with knowledge and practical solutions, fostering a cleaner and healthier environment.

“Our commitment goes beyond energy production; we recognize the urgent need to address the challenges faced by our farmers and communities,” said Pankaj Sharma, Chief Operating Officer of TSPL. “By raising awareness about the impacts of stubble burning, we hope to inspire sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and the livelihoods of our farmers.
