Sit in dharna by PSGICs employees gets massive response; GIPSA chairman met the protesters; received Memorandum

Trilok Singh, Convener, Joint Forum of Trade Unions (JFTU), North Zone said in a press communiqué ,” We’re to inform, that the sitting dharna on 11th November 2024, at head offices, regional offices, and various centers throughout the country was successfully held”.

Trilok Singh added “the sit in Dharna before CMD, Oriental Insurance Company (OIC) and General Insurance Public Sector Association (GIPSA) Chairman was successful, JFTU leaders in Delhi   addressed the gathering in the demonstration highlighting the ongoing struggles and appealing for support on key demands:

– Wage revision and other benefits at par with LIC

– 30% family pension

– 14% employer contribution in NPS

– Adequate recruitments

JFTU leaders from various unions and associations addressed the lunch hour demonstration.

GIPSA Chairman and Oriental Insurance CMD, RR Singh andRekha Solanki, met the protesters and received JFTU’s memorandum of demands. GIPSA Chairman and GM(P) addressed the protesters and assured that the memorandum would be forwarded to department of financial services (DFS) with positive notes and they would put forth their sincere efforts and pursue the Demands of JFTU with DFS officials.
