The Bharatiya Janata Party candidate and former Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur on Monday said that Aam Aadmi Party came to power by making false promises to the people of Punjab, but in the last two and a half years, this party has not fulfilled even a single promise made to the people.

While addressing a public meeting in Sanaur on Monday, Preneet Kair said that the Aam Aadmi Party, which does not respect women, did not fulfill its promise of giving Rs 1000 per month to women. “Whenever AAP workers or leaders come to ask for votes for the Lok Sabha elections, then all the women should ask them to first release their dues of 26 months which is Rs 26,000,” she said.

The BJP leader said that she has received information that some Aam Aadmi Party workers were trying to mislead the farmers by joining the protests by posing as farmers in the protests. “All the demands of the farmers are legitimate and every possible effort will be made to fulfill them,” she added.

Notably, Congress General Secretary Jatinder Singh, Akali Dal’s Rupinder Singh, Mandeep Singh, Fateh Singh, Raju Rams Amarinder Dhot, Jaswinder Singh Retgarh, Jassa Singh Sabajpura, Ravinder Singh Samana and Jasbir Singh Shahpur left Congress and Aam Aadmi Party and joined Bharatiya Janata Party. Preneet Kaur welcomed these leaders from other political parties to BJP.

Addressing the public meeting, Preneet Kaur said that “Captain Amarinder Singh, while being the Chief Minister, has always shown keenness regarding the development of Sanaur. During his time, Maharaja Captain Amarinder Singh worked to connect Sanaur with Chandigarh-Sangrur bypass. Apart from this, basic facilities were provided to Sanaur. Today, Sanaur has been completely successful in maintaining a distinct identity of its own in the Patiala district.”

Preneet Kaur further said that Sanaur needs to be developed further so that new employment opportunities can be created in this area. There is immense potential for developing new areas by widening the road from Sanaur to Devigarh as well as developing Sanaur as a major agricultural centre. “The areas of Sanaur which are facing the brunt of Ghaggar water have received a permanent solution to it from the Central Government,” she added.

Furthermore, Preneet Kaur told the residents of Sanaur that her family has an old relationship with Sanaur. “Based on this relationship and belief, my confidence is high that you will make me win in the Lok Sabha elections and I will be having an opportunity to solve all the major problems of Patiala and get big packages for new development works from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

She said that whatever guarantee Narendra Modi gives to someone, he fulfills it under any circumstances. “Like a normal party, they are not limited to promises. The leaders of Aam Aadmi Party who are making promises to the people during the election campaign should be questioned as to how the Aam Aadmi Party, which is contesting elections on only 23 seats across the country, will fulfill the big promises? AAP leaders, who stopped mining in Punjab and spent Rs 20,000 crores on the development of Punjab, have themselves forgotten this promise.”

While interacting with the media, Preneet Kaur confirmed Prime Minister Narinder Modi’s arrival in Patiala on May 23. She is very happy that the Prime Minister is going to start his Punjab tour from Patiala.

Vikram Inderjit Singh Chahal (NIKKU) assured Preneet Kaur that the people of Sanaur area are waiting for June 1 to cast their precious votes to BJP. She said that the people of Sanaur know that when they can trust Congress and AAP, they can also show their trust in BJP. On this occasion, a large number of BJP workers including Sanaur Mahila Mandal President Nisha Rishi were present.
