CBI has issued a lookout circular against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and senior aam admi party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia and 12 other people named in a First Information Report (FIR) filed by the central agency on liquor policy violations, ANI reported.

An officer on the condition of anonymity said, “Look out circular (LOC) is a circular letter used by authorities to check whether a traveling person is wanted by the police. It may be used at immigration checks at international borders (like International airports or sea ports). In India, LOC has a given proforma which have identification parameters of criminals and help police to catch absconding criminals and stopping them from crossing borders.”

Manish Sisodia responded on his micro blogging site “All your raids are failed; nothing found, not even a single penny discrepancy is found, now you have issued a look out notice that Manish Sisodia is not available. What is this gimmick, Modi ji? I am roaming freely in Delhi, tell me where to come? I can’t find you?”

Meanwhile, the CBI summoned at least three of the accused named in the FIR on Saturday in the alleged excise policy scam for questioning at its Delhi headquarters. They were allowed to leave late in the evening after their statements were recorded but they would most likely be questioned again after the agency reviewed their responses, the report said quoting sources.

“More people are being summoned in the next few days for questioning. The investigation is in the initial stages. The documents recovered during searches conducted on Friday are being scrutinised,” Indian Express reported citing a CBI officer.
