ADC (D) inaugurated training course at SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute-Rajiv Sirhindi

Dr Preeti Yadav, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) inaugurated the Training course for Financial Literacy Community resource Person at State Bank of India’s Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) situated at village Jassowal, Bhadson Road, Patiala here today.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Yadav said that RSETI Patiala is the First Training Institute in Punjab to start the FL CRP Course for women Self Help Group members under the guidelines of Ministry of Rural Development Govt of India. She told that all these women Self help Group members are identified and selected by PSRLM, Patiala from different blocks of the District which will be given training and certification after which they will become eligible to become further provide Financial Literacy in villages under the program “FL-CRP” of Govt of India. She said that SBI, RSETI, Patiala is working very proactively providing free of cost training to rural unemployed youth of the District in more than 60 courses. She told that RSETI is playing a significant role in the Punjab Govt’s Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yozna through skill development training. The lead Distrcit Manager  Pritpal Singh Anand and Distrcit Program Manager Reena were also present on the occasion. On this occasion training kits were distributed to candidates.

The Director of SBI RSETI Rajiv Sirhindi told that the Training at State Bank of India’s Rural Self Employment Training Institute has been taken to the next level. Many new NACER approved Courses have been started which includes Bank Mitra for MORD Mission “One GP-One BC Sakhi”, Bee Keeping, Jute Products Udyami, Dairy Farming & Vermi Compost etc and adding to the list is FLCRP which has been starting from today. He said that the Guest faculties for these Training programmes are being arranged from various Government Agencies like Department of Horticulture, Punjab, Department of Animal Husbandry, Rauni Farm, Nabha Road, Verka Milk Plant, Patiala, Women ITI, Patiala and retired Officers of State Bank of India. We have also collaborated with many NGOs, influential persons of society and Media so that the RSETI concept should reach to every unemployed rural youth. Our vision and mission is to facilitate Skill Development for gainful employment.

He told that enrollment of trainees for new courses of Business Correspondents and Facilitators, Commercial Horticulture, Floriculture, Cultivation of Medicinal & Aromatical Plants, Jute Products, Bee Keeping, Dairy Farming, Computerized Accountancy etc has been started at RSETI, Patiala.
