Amritsar-Guru Nanak Dev University is receiving excellent response to its online admission process that started from March 30th 2018 for admission to various courses in its main campus, Regional Campuses and University Colleges for the academic session 2018-19. Several skill based/job oriented new courses have been introduced this year stated Dean, Academic affairs, Professor Dr. Kamaljit Singh. For promoting inter-culture relationship, 20% seats are available, over and above the normal quota of seats, for foreign nationals/NRIs.

Dr. Kamaljit Singh, further informed that for B.Tech. Courses whose admission is based on JEE Main-2018, a centralized counseling shall be conducted at GNDU main Campus on the basis of All India Rank JEE (Main)-2018. The last date for receipt of application is 13 June.2018 and counseling schedule has been uploaded on the University websites. For other B.Tech courses, University shall conduct its own entrance test. 10% seats are added to the normal quota of seats for B. Tech courses admission through lateral entry mode.  See University website for more details.

Admission to M.B.A.(Two Years) courses (GNDU Main Campus, Regional campuses at Gurdaspur, Sathiala, GNDU College, Jalandhar and ASSM College, Mukandpur) shall be based on GMET to be conducted by the University. Admission to all Masters/Bachelor level courses will be made on the basis of Entrance Tests to be conducted by the Coordinators/Heads of the Department, as per the details mentioned in the University Prospectus 2018, available on the website of the University. Admission to B.Arch. course will be made by the Head, Department of Architecture on the basis of combined merit of NATA score and qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50. He also said that for LL.B., B.A.LL.B. (FYC) courses, admission will be made by Punjabi University, Patiala as per notification issued by Punjab Govt.

The details of the courses, number of seats, mode of admission etc. can be found at www.gnduadmissions.org and www.gndu.ac.in. After necessary registration along with appropriate counseling fee, applications for admission shall be submitted through online mode only and as per the admission schedule mentioned in the University Prospectus available on the University website www.gnduadmissions.org.

After requisite online registration with a fee Rs. 1200/-. (for General Category) and (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST Category),  all applications shall be submitted only through main website of the University (www.gndu.ac.in) or www.gnduadmissions.org.  However, for B.Tech. courses based on JEE Main-2018, the one-time counseling fee will be Rs. 2000/-. For admission to courses of Regional Campuses/University Colleges for which admission is to be done by the respective campus/college, applicants are advised to contact Associate Dean AA & SW/OSD/Principal directly.
