Advocate, who rocked the state, takes ‘U’ turn

Advocate Varinder Singh of Muktsar Sahib, who rocked the state last month has taken a ‘U’ turn and has compromised with the police.
In a letter written to the district bar association, Muktsar Sahib and copy to the chief minister, DGP, bar council of Punjab and Haryana etc Varinder Singh said ‘now, the matter is sorted out.” He also thanked the district bar association for standing with him in the hour of crises.
An FIR against six police personnel was also registered at Sadar Sri Muktsar Sahib police station in a case of alleged torturous attack on advocate Varinder Singh in police custody.
The government has transferred the SSP Muktsar Sahib Harmanbir Singh Gill and DIG Faridkot Ajay Maluja after this incident.
