After 2 weeks, Govt appoints 1993 batch IPS officer as regular Director General, Narcotics Control Bureau

The Appointment Committee of Cabinet has approved the appointment of Anurag Garg, IPS of 1993 batch of Himachal Pradesh cadre as the next Director General, Narcotics Control Bureau.
Anurag Garg IPS (HP:1993) is posted as Additional Director General, Border Security Force, on deputation basis, with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post till 23.05.2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Earlier, Satya Narayan Pradhan, IPS (JH:1988), Director General, Narcotics Control Bureau retired on August 31,2024.
Consequent upon superannuation of Satya Narayan Pradhan, IPS (JH:1988), Director General, Narcotics Control Bureau on 31.08.2024, the Competent Authority had given the additional of , Director General, Narcotics Control Bureau to Anish Dayal Singh, IPS (Manipur:1988), Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for a period of three months or till the appointment and joining of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
