After the silver medal in the national games, Punjab’s pride Aadil is determined to close the year-ending matches with a podium

Aadil Bedi, is a young Indian professional golfer who plays on the Asian Tour and the Professional Golf Tour of India. Till date he has won many tournaments of repute.

Aadil Bedi’s father Dr Harinder Pal Singh Bedi and mother Hargunjit Kaur, IAS are both officers with the Government of Punjab. He is s grandson of a renowned academician, thinker, writer Dr Narinder Singh Kapoor.

His father, now manager Dr Harinder Pal Singh Bedia is an avid golfer and from the age of four, Aadil used to accompany him to play at Chandigarh Golf Club.

Aadil, just 22 years turned professional in September 2018 at the age of 17. He was also part of the Indian team that represented India at the 2018 Asian Games. Apart from this, he has won the following tournaments:

  • Got Silver Medal in National Games at Delhi Golf Club last week with the score of 73,74 70 and 68 for the Union Territory Chandigarh.
  • 6”2” Tall Stylish golfer will play 4 Events at Gurgaon, Kolkata , Jaipur and Jamshedpur on the PGTI tour in the upcoming season
  • Will play Q school on an Asian tour in January 2024 at Golf Prix Kanchanaburi and Lake View Resort Hua Hin, Thailand.
  • Finished T13 at Cosmo golf course Chennai with the help of 17 birdies and two eagles with scores of 68,72, 70 and 72, i.e. eight under par total score earlier in August 2023.
  • Finished T12 at Vizag open at Vishakhapatnam with a score of 74,71,70 and 72.
  • Finished T11 at Panchkula Golf Club with scores of 68, 71, 71 and 69, i.e. 9 under par.
  • Finished T12 at Chandigarh Golf Club with scores of 68,71,70 and 72 7 under par in the Jeev Milkha Singh invitational.

Ace golfer Aadil Bedi is all set to play in the last 4 matches of the season and is determined to finish at the podium. Kapil Dev Invitational is starting next week at picturous DLF country club Gurgaon with the prize money of two crores. Year-end events Tata steel open will be played at Jamshedpur with the prize money of 3 crores. 2 more event is scheduled at Kolkata and Jaipur. Aadil has good memories of his maiden win at the West Bengal Open 2020.

“So far, my game is shaping back very well. I worked very hard with my father, Dr Harry Bedi, who is assisting me with the help of hi-tech gadgets like K-Vest, Sensors and Trackman supported by advanced software analysis. I have finished almost in the top ten in the last four events and got a silver medal for my city’s beautiful last week in the 37th National Games. I am very confident that I will finish in the podium in next four matches to close the year end season” said Aadil Bedi

On his future plans, Aadil said “I am scheduled to play in the Asian Tour Q school. These national Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) events are significant to finish on a high note, keeping in view Olympic 2024 and the Commonwealth games coming ahead.”
