The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for the academic year 2024-2025 was held under the guidance of College Principal Prof. (Dr.)Kusum Lata at Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala, on October 5, 2024. The event commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of the proceedings in a positive and auspicious manner.

The meeting was formally opened with a welcome address by Dr. Reetu Kapoor, the Finance Secretary of the PTA. In her address, Dr. Kapoor extended a warm welcome to all attendees and presented a detailed, audited financial report outlining the PTA’s activities and expenditures for the previous year. This report highlighted the transparent management of funds and the PTA’s efforts to contribute to the welfare of the college

Dr. Reetu Kapoor then presented the audited annual statement of the PTA, providing a comprehensive overview of the financial status, including income, expenditure, and the allocation of resources for various initiatives.

The PTA secretary declared the committee selected for the year 2024-25. The College Principal is the president. Kanwar Inder Singh was elected as the senior vice President, Dr.Paramjit Kaur vice president, Amita Singla, Secretary (Parent), Dr.Rekha Rani (College Bursar) Dr.Reetu Kapoor as Finance secretary. Advocate Sushil Kumar Sharma, Radhika Seth, Chatwant Kumar, Nagesh Gupta, Amit Sharma, Harish Singh are the members of PTA from among the parents and Pr. Satinder Kaur, Sukhbir Kaur (Librarian) and Shashi Bala are members of PTA from among the teachers.This announcement marked the official constitution of the PTA committee for the year 2024-2025, which will oversee and coordinate activities aimed at enhancing cooperation between parents and the college administration.

The AGM was a significant event, promoting transparency and accountability within the PTA. It also reinforced the commitment of both parents and teachers to work collaboratively for the betterment of the institution and its students. The new committee is expected to bring fresh energy and ideas for the upcoming academic year.The College Principal appreciated the collective efforts of the parents and staff to make the Institutional achieve a significant place in National Institutional Ranking Frame Work (NIRF). The others Present on the occasion were Dr. Jaspreet Kaur, Dr. Amrinder Kaur, Prof. Jasmine Kaur, Dr. Tarandeep Kaur and other members of the staff.

The meeting of Bikram Alumni Global Association (BAGA) was also held the same day in which the College Principal thanked the Alumni members for being the strongest pillar of support during the accreditation process by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).This meeting was followed by the meeting  with members of Higher Educational Institute Society (HEIS) Regd .The Principal congratulated the members for successfully completing the admission process of newly adopted three BBA (Innovation and Entrepreneurship,Banking and Insurance and Logistics and Supply chain Management)Courses .
