AIIMS Bathinda celebrates World Plastic Surgery Day 2024 with CME Event

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda, proudly hosted the “CME & Celebration of World Plastic Surgery Day 2024,” organized by the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery under the guidance of Organising Chairperson Dr. Mohd Altaf Mir, Head of the Department, along with organising team of the department.
The event featured a distinguished gathering, including Prof. D.K. Singh, Director of AIIMS Bathinda; Dean of Academics Prof. AkhileshPathak; Medical Superintendent Prof. Rajiv Kumar Gupta; and Nursing Principal Prof. Kamlesh Sharma.
The program commenced with an inauguration session where Dr. Mir welcomed dignitaries, guest faculty, and delegates. The highlight was the launch of two insightful books: “Key Flaps in Plastic Surgery,” and “Pediatric Abdominopelvic Trauma,” authored by Dr. Mohd. Altaf Mir.
Following the book launch, the attendees were treated to inspiring speech by Honourable Director AIIMS Bathinda. A special moment was marked by the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to Prof. L.M. Bariar, who addressed the gathering and shared his invaluable insights.
Prof. DK, Executive Director of AIIMS Bathinda, appreciated the tremendous growth and achievements of the Department of Plastic Surgery.
Dean, Prof. Akhilesh Pathak, addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of such events in fostering knowledge and collaboration within the medical community.
The Medical Superintendent also appreciated the Department for its dedication to providing high-quality medical care. He emphasized the department’s commitment to patient safety, innovative procedures, and continuous improvement.
The scientific sessions featured esteemed speakers, including Prof. RakeshKain, who delivered a keynote lecture, followed by presentations from Dr.Ashutosh Mishra, Dr. Rahul Gorka, Dr. Kamna Bhati, Dr. Sarabjot Singh, and Dr. Divakar Goyal, each contributing to the discourse on advancements in plastic surgery and related fields.
