AIIMS Bathinda Hosts National CME on Cultural Competence and Communication Skills in Healthcare Management

The Department of Physiology at AIIMS Bathinda successfully hosted a National Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on “Mastering Cultural Competence and Essential Communication Skills for Healthcare Professionals in Healthcare Management” on August 1, 2025. The event was held under the esteemed leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Anil K. Gupta, President of AIIMS Bathinda, and Prof. Meenu Singh, CEO & Executive Director of AIIMS Bathinda, who served as the Chief Patrons.
The CME featured distinguished guest speakers, including Dr. Shivender Rahul, Head (i/c) of the Department of Humanities at National Law University, Nagpur, and Dr. Dinesh Badyal, Director of CMCL-FAIMER Regional Institute, Ludhiana. Dr. Rajeev Sood, Vice Chancellor of BFUHS, Faridkot, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The program aimed to equip healthcare professionals with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively manage diverse patient populations and improve healthcare outcomes. Key topics covered included cultural competence, communication skills, and healthcare management.
