AIIMS Bathinda initiative-starts E-Sanjeevni OPD

During the COVID-19 pandemic, e-consultation is becoming a new normal for the patients. In another new development for AIIMS Bathinda, Executive Director, Prof. D K Singh announced that AIIMS Bathinda has adopted e-sanjeevani OPD services to provide online consultation to the patients. This platform has been developed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to provide safe & structured video consultation with a doctor in a hospital while the patient stays in his home. Patients from not only the state of Punjab, but also other states will be able to benefit from this service.
The service is totally free for the patients and will be available for AIIMS Bathinda from Monday 17 August. There is a simple 5 step registration process that has be done online at https://esanjeevaniopd.in. The service will be available from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. Specialist and specialist OPDs will be available, including, General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiation Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, ENT, Urology and Surgical Oncology.
AIIMS Bathinda is emphasising on its patients to make more and more use of online consultation services and come to hospital for routine consultations only if the problem cannot be addressed by this route.
Executive Director of AIIMS Bathinda, Prof. D K Singh informed that AIIMS Bathinda is already using online consultation services via telephonic calls and video calls.Around 2,000 patients have been provided consultations by doctors from thirteen different departments till now. More and more patients are expected to benefit from tele-consultation using e-sanjeevani now.
