Air India plane crash landed; major tragedy averted

Major tragedy averted few minutes ago in Kozhikode airport , Kerala when an Air India Express plane crash lands in Kerala after overshooting the runway. The incident occurred at around 7:40 pm on Friday evening, amid heavy rainfall in the region. There were 191 passengers including crew members on board the flight.
Earlier it was not yet clear if there are any casualties. Images on social media appear to show an aircraft broken in two pieces.As per available information, many passengers have been admitted in hospital with injuries and luckily the plane did not catch fire. Rescue operations are underway.Fire tenders and ambulances rushed to the spot.
Among those killed were the two pilots of Flight IX 1344, authorities said. Four people are still stuck inside, the Kerala Police chief said.More details are awaited.

Distressed to learn about the tragic accident of Air India Express aircraft in Kozhikode, Kerala.
Have instructed NDRF to reach the site at the earliest and assist with the rescue operations.
