Conspiracies are afoot to finish off Akali Dal politically but all these conspiracies will fall flat. This was stated by SAD Working President Balwinder Singh Bhunder.
He was addressing a preparatory meeting of Akali Dal leaders at Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib convened to observe 100th birth anniversary of Panth Ratan Gurcharan Singh Tohra at large scale. Bhunder said that though occurrence of sacrilege incidents during Akali Dal government was most unfortunate but opponents had politicized these incidents and defamed Akali Dal.
Lashing out at so called Panthic leaders, Bhunder questioned why they were silent on recent sacrilege incidents including intrusion by a man at Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar, entrance of Police in uniform and firing in Gurdwara Sultanpur Lodhi and dozens of other sacrilege incident occurred recently. He said that these leaders never opened their mouth about these unfortunate incidents. He also criticized so called Sudhar lehar leaders who are hell bent on defaming Akali Dal.

Addressing this meeting, NK Sharma disclosed that Akand Path will start on September 22 in the morning and bhog will be performed on September 24 at Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib on 100th birth anniversary of Panth Ratan Gurcharan Singh Tohra. He said that large number of akali dal leaders and workers will participate in this programme which is being organised to make aware out next generation about sacrifices being made by senior leaders for Panth.
SGPC member Surjit Singh Garhi conducted the stage in the meeting which was attended by Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar, YAD President Sarbjit Singh Jhinder, SAD General Secretary Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna, former MLA Harpreet Kaur Mukhmailpur, Darbara Singh Guru, Kabir Dass, Makhan Singh Lalka, Amarinder Singh Bajaj, Amit Rathi urban President, SGPC member Surjit Singh Garhi, Gurcharan Singh Grewal, Jasmer Singh Lachru besides others.
