“A unanimous decision was to oppose the move to sell / lease valuable lands and assets of the power sector. It was decided that all employees and engineers/ officers will oppose this move to sell properties in the name of monetisation where our power houses, offices, stores are situated and some vacant lands that would otherwise be used for the department’s future growth for providing electricity services to the public. These actions could endanger the very existence of PSPCL and PSTCL. A protest demonstration was also held against the government attempt to sell off valuable lands of the power sector under the name of monetisation today dated 09-10-2025 in front of the main gate of PSEB Head Office” said the spokesperson of an association.
