As part of alumni interaction series, Department of Computer Science, Punjabi University Patiala invited its alumni Jitesh Pubreja, working as Senior Full Stack Developer at BlueAves E-Health Services Ltd with whom University has done MoU for internships, placements and joint projects with faculty members.
Avinash and Harman, Students of MCA 3rd Sem organized the event with their team. Prof. Gagandeep, Head of the Department, inaugurated the interaction session.
During the first half of the interaction, Pubreja guided the students about the current trends and expectations of industry from the freshers during placement drive. He guided about how to prepare themselves for making market ready. He emphasized that smartness, communication skills and practical knowledge are the keys to success in the current scenario.
Student must know how to present oneself. In the second half of the session, he imparted hands on practice knowledge on the usage of GitHub.
Alumni interaction program was organised by Punjabi University Computer Science department for its students’ . GitHub is a web-based platform that allows users to store, share, and collaborate on code, web pages, and other content. During the session itself, students learnt using GitHub working on their laptops. Department is continuously doing efforts for improving their student’s technical skills by organizing such workshops through their alumni and industry experts. Session was closed with Vote of thanks by Amarvir Singh, faculty Incharge, Student activities.
